We found the hotel in a good location on Lovina beach. With excellent facilities, including a plunge pool. The staff were warm and friendly and the food served in your room or on the beach was of a high quality. So much so we didn't eat anywhere else. Which is unusual for us.
We may have preferred to have our compound area screened off from the neighboring villa for pool privacy, but not an issue.

The food here is excellent, and the staff are really friendly as well, plus it's conveniently located near the Krisna Waterpark, so you can easily walk there.

The resort is really clean and properly maintained. The staff and managers at the resort are super friendly and helpful. They will ensure that everything is good. Beach is clean and food is awesome. Breakfast on the beach is just lovely. Highly recommend for people who wish to have a gateaway from the city and have a relaxing trip. The resort also happily arrange for dolphin trip at minimal charge, an added value service to the guest. Would definitely go back!

A private kitchen was a big plus. Excellent home base for city break in Lovina. We had fun in the pool of the hotel. It is close to the airport;)))
Nothing not too like.

This hotel is a hidden gem right on the beach at Lovina. The location is perfect, with direct access to the calm and peaceful waters. The rooms are well-designed and comfortable, with nice furniture and a great bed. I loved the individual swimming pools, a perfect addition to relax and unwind. The attention to detail is evident, with rooms equipped with an outdoor shower, which is a unique and refreshing experience. The breakfast offered a variety of options, including delicious local fruits.
Nothing to improve, everything was perfect.

Heather the owner manager has created a small oasis which is full of charm, charachter and style. The bungalows are of trendy beach style, comfortable and bright, each having its own plunge pool and best of all swinging seat. The friendliness and helpfulness of staff was outstanding, nothing was too much trouble. Heather has chosen her staff well and remains open to ideas and suggestions for change. Location is superb, it doesn't get much better. An amazing journey up through the mountains with staggering views. All in all a great stay and I would like to think I would return.
Although the food was fresh it was very basic and little choice.

Lilin is a quiet, lovely, friendly small hotel with clean and tasteful rooms. A really good breakfast and freshly made cookies in the afternoon are provided. Every individual wish will be taken care of by the management. A driver is there to send you to the nearby town whenever you do not want to have lunch or dinner at the Hotel (honestly: the food in the hotel is really good!) or if you want to go shopping. We did some scuba diving, which you can also book easily via the hotel - the place is just nice, we hope to come back one day.
Be prepared to spend at least 3 - 4 hours by car to and from the International Airport in Bali. And be prepared to have black sand at the beach ...

Some parts of the property are run down and in need of updating.

The perfect stay in the north of Bali! This is a hotel with a heart: a warm welcome at our arrival, daily chitchat with Ricky, the American owner, who runs the place, breakfast in abundance ... Excellent location: a strip of black-sand beach (btw, very clean cause of Ricky's efforts to clear it from possible rubbish), five steps away from the room. Rooms: cosy and modern design. Like everybody we booked only two nights: to go and see the dolphins, which is nice, but hey... the north is beautiful on its own, and very relaxing too. Next time we will book for a longer period, for sure. This hotel should be the standard for every (budget-friendly) boutique hotel! Enjoy it! :-) We stayed in the last bungalow next to the beach. It's like we had our own private tropical beach every time we sat at our terrace and looked out over the sea.
The lack of a restaurant and a bar perhaps. But!! They were building a restaurant for the Lilin hotel, on next door lot. If I'm not mistaken then the restaurant and bar will open this Summer?! In the meanwhile: there are delicious and cheap eating stalls almost next door.

We loved the hotel facilities, including the cozy sunbeds by the bar, the fine location right in front of the beach and the possibility of doing the dolphin and snorkeling tours from the hotel. The staff was also very friendly and helpful.
Everything great.

Lilin Lovina Beach Hotel is located right on the beach with wonderful relaxing views of the Java Sea. Our room was bright and you could see the sea from our bed. Unfortunately, my partner became ill during our stay and the staff were caring and helpful. They were also very understanding that we wanted to return to Seminyak on the 5th day rather than stay the night. Lilin Lovina Beach Hotel is a great place for one to unwind for a couple of days and would definitely return for a night or two in the future. Thank you Ricki and staff for making as comfortable as possible.
Rooms were a little small. Lilin Lovina Beach Hotel is a B&B and not a hotel as suggested by the name. A little more information on the area in the room would've been great.

The staff are super friendly and helpful. The hotel itself locates on the beach, and have a great view for sunset and sunrise. The whole enviroment is really relaxing and chilled.
Well, water pressure can be stronger, so can have a greater shower.
